While it doesn’t look much like the clouds are clearing in this pic taken yesterday morning, the rain system *was* clearing, and I was out to find some drama. Chipeta provided the peace. 🙂

We were out yesterday morning around Groundhog and it was just incredibly beautiful with clearing clouds, peaks with layers of snow (about 5 inches still on the road before we turned around!), and patches of glorious fall colors still remaining. The only thing missing was Chipeta of course – or others like her – but it was a wonderful, gorgeous day!
Wow – 5 inches?! That’s incredible! I thought about heading back up that way … but I didn’t. Now I’m kicking myself. 🙂 So glad you and Denny got to see it, though! How gorgeous!
